OIIM - Registered Spiritual Arts Initiate (RSI)
Welcome to the iNtuitive Times Institute (NTI), the seminary program for the Open International Interfaith Ministry (OIIM). NTI and OIIM celebrate the many faces of the Divine as seen in the world’s diverse spiritual traditions. NTI provides a vehicle for training professional, skilled Interfaith Ministers and Spiritual Arts Practitioners, Apprentices and Initiates.
We are pleased to be able to offer to qualified students the RSI Program. The RSI Program offers entry level professional skills that are experiential in nature. We seek students who have a calling to be of service sharing their spiritual and healing gifts and who have a passion for elevating the credibility and trustworthiness of the healing/spiritual arts.
About the RSI Program
The NTI Spiritual Arts Initiate Certificate (RSI) is intended to be an entry level course of studies for those with a current wellness or helping practice who wish to infuse their client sessions with spirituality or by individuals who simply wish to infuse their lives with spirituality. Upon completion of the year program, graduates are eligible for OIIM to register them as Registered Spiritual Initiates (RSI).
This program is an experiential introduction to NTI’s Apprenticeship Program – the Certificate of Applied Spiritual Counselling (CASC). RSI’s are eligible for membership in some associations whose members can receive the designation of naturotherapist allowing the spiritual Initiate’s services to be covered for clients from a limited number of extended health care plans.
The RSI program is offered through (840 total training hours)
The Benefits of Attending NTI
- Being part of a professional Interfaith/Interspiritual community with ongoing support
- Professional status as Registered Spiritual Initiates, Apprentices, Practitioners (in spiritual - counselling, healing, mediumship, direction/companionship and/or Ministers
- Eligibility for membership in some professional associations whose members provide naturotherapist (n.d,)/naturopathic treatments. This allows many clients to benefit from their extended health care plans when receiving your services
- As NTI is a registered Canadian Federal HRSDC Certified Training Institute, you are allowed an educational exemption on your personal taxes (tax credit based on tuition fees plus monthly allowance for part-time study and texts - for 2012 this was 15% tax credit of tuition fees paid plus $140 a month for studying part time and texts)
- Extensive mentoring from experienced Practitioners/Ministers
- Graduates are eligible to be listed in the OIIM online Registry

The RSI program is offered through (840 total training hours)
- 300 training hours - distance education
- 90 training hours - three weekend Residencies (Fall, Spring and Summer) on Prince Edward Island
- 150 training hours - 15 one hour Tele-learning sessions
- 300 training hours - 300 hours of personal development workshops or courses
- 6 case studies
